Congratulations!

We are honored and privileged that Aiki Kenpo Jujutsu International has recognized the Masamunekan dojo in Saint John, NB as an official branch dojo for the 2015- 2016 year under the guidance of Shihan Wendell Black.

Shihan Black was awarded his new title in Karate at a Kenshu held in Fredericton, NB in October this year by the director of the International Ryukyu Karate Research Society, Hanshi Patrick McCarthy, 9th Dan.

As well, for over 40 years of studying martial arts and giving back to his community, Shihan Black was also the 2015 recipient of the IRKRS Lifetime Achievement Award.

Congratulations Sensei Black! It is our honor and privilege to train with you.

Welcome! Thanks for visiting our website!

The Saint John dojo was established in 2008 after Sensei Wendell Black received his Shodan from Sensei Steve Nickerson, 5th Dan, at a testing held at the Halifax, NS dojo in December of the same year.

Saint John Aikido came about as it was realized there was a need for an established dojo where students could go and practice and study the art of aikido in a friendly, non-competitive environment.
